A Russian tourist, who was on vacation in Hurghada, Egypt, was attacked by a shark while he was away from the coast. He did not respond to the tourist’s calls for help, who tried to escape the attack.

In a statement made by the Russian Consulate in Hurghada, “To the attention of Russian citizens in Hurghada. On June 8, a Russian died in a shark attack in Hurghada (Dream Beach). The Russian consulate in Hurghada expressed its condolences to the family and relatives of the Russian citizen. Russian tourists were asked to be careful when they enter the sea.
While the beach where the attack took place was closed for security reasons, an investigation was launched into the incident.
