FBI states that the man who killed ten people in New Orleans is 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar from Texas, in the car he had an IS flag.

Had an IS flag in the car
Shamsud-Din Jabbar was shot dead by police after his car crashed. He fired several shots at the police and two officers were injured. Shamsud-Din Jabbar was an American citizen and came from Texas.
The FBI, which in the morning took over the investigation from the local police, states that they are now investigating whether he had any connections to any terrorist organizations. The incident is currently being investigated by the FBI as an act of terrorism.
“We are aggressively following all leads to be able to identify possible accomplices,” the FBI writes in the statement.
Probably used a rental car
The car that was used must have probably been a rental car. The FBI announced during the morning that they had found a suspected explosive object in the car, several other suspected dangerous objects were also found in the neighborhood.
Several blocks in New Orleans were cordoned off in connection with the operation. The police have planned to hold a press conference at 20:00 Swedish time, where they have stated that they will share more information about the crime.
