FromSoftware has released the first balance patch for Shadow of the Erdtree. The update offers significant improvements to difficulty settings and graphics options.
The long-awaited Shadow of the Erdtree expansion pack for the highly acclaimed open-world action RPG developed by FromSoftware has met with players. With this new expansion pack, players who embarked on new adventures in the “Shadow Realm” faced tougher battles than they expected.
FromSoftware Listened to Players: Shadow of the Erdtree Received First Balance Update
While the extreme difficulty of battles disappointed some players, the developers were quick to respond to player feedback. The balance patch for Shadow of the Erdtree was an important step that showed that player concerns were taken into account and addressed.
Elden Ring Balancing Update 1.12.2brought significant balancing changes and adjustments to PC graphics settings. With this update, significant adjustments have been made to the attack and damage reduction features of the ability called “Scadutree Blessing”. Attack damage reductions will now be increased for the first half of the maximum amount of Blessing enhancement, and the second half will receive a more gradual improvement. There will also be a slight increase in attack and damage reduction provided by the final level of Blessing upgrades.
Another notable point was an error in the graphics settings. Ray tracing settings were automatically activated due to pre-loaded save data, leading to unexpected changes in the game’s visual quality and performance. You can control the Ray Tracing Quality settings via the “Settings” and “Graphics Settings” options in the in-game menu. From this menu, it is possible to optionally set the Auto Ray Tracing feature to Off or On. FromSoftware plans to roll out more balance updates and bug fixes going forward.
