Sexual assault charges against Stratford man withdrawn

Charges against a Stratford man accused of sexual assault were withdrawn earlier this week because the Crown’s office determined there was no reasonable prospect of conviction.

Mark White, 54, was originally arrested on July 26, approximately one week after the alleged offense took place. The name of the female was protected under a court-ordered publication ban.

While the case was originally set to return to court on Oct. 28, the Crown brought the case forward on Tuesday to dismiss the charges after the office viewed all of the videos and read the statements provided.
