The tension this year is not too bad, says Elsbeth Reitzema, senior program officer for Sexuality Education at Rutgers. “Last year there was a lot of commotion and many questions and concerns among parents. This was partly because a lot of misinformation was spread about the content of the lessons. This is also the case this year, but most people now know that this happens.”
