The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m., local time, on Benning Road, and according to the police, one person is said to have died in connection with the incident. – A total of four people were shot, says police chief Robert Contee during a press conference. One man was shot dead and three others were injured in what police described as a “targeted” attack outside a funeral home in Washington DC on Tuesday. According to the police, mourners had just left a funeral ceremony when the shooter opened fire. – Our investigators are on site to investigate what has happened, says Robert Contee. During the press conference, he further states that the deceased person is an adult man, and that three other adults were injured in the shooting. They have been taken to hospital, but do not have life-threatening injuries. Asking the public for tips Police have been unable to provide any details about the suspected shooter, the New York Post reports, and are asking the public for tips that could lead to an arrest.
