Several people are missing after the terrorist act at the concert hall in Moscow

Jana Pogodajeva and a friend were, like many others, in the Crocus City hall concert hall on Friday evening to their idols, the rock band Piknik.

– They bought the tickets two months ago and were really looking forward to the concert. They went there by taxi and I would pick them up afterwards, says Jana’s husband Igor to SVT.

Terror attack in Moscow

  • Suspects of the terror in Moscow arrested – beaten bloody

  • Hear the witnesses to the terrorist act: “Shoot right into the crowd”

  • Just before the concert was to start, Jana sent him a picture from inside the concert hall. Since then he has not heard from her.

SVT has also been in contact with the friend’s husband, who has not given us permission to publish her identity. But Igor is now grasping at every straw in the hope of seeing his wife again.

    – Today I went around to eight hospitals and in one they said that there is an unidentified woman in another hospital, he says.

    Missing from the lists

At least 133 people are dead after the terrorist act, writes the Russian Investigative Committee on Telegram. Russian authorities have also published lists of names of people being treated in hospital after the incident.

But in some cases, when the identity of the persons could not be determined, only “unknown woman” or “unknown man” is on the lists.

And Igor is not alone in desperately searching for his relatives on his own. In Russian media and on social networks, many Russians testify that their relatives are completely missing from the lists.

The news channel Ostorozhno novosti reports that an entire family of four is missing. And on Instagram, Uliana from Novosibirsk writes that she cannot get in touch with her brother, who was at the concert. Uliana told the independent news channel Vjorstka that she and other relatives called all the hospitals and morgues in Moscow, but to no avail.
