Last night, the emergency services were called to an apartment in central Malmö.
An electric moped had caught fire in a living room.
– There was a strong development of smoke and we had to evacuate four people who were taken to hospital, Magnus Karlsson, line operator.
Three units were on site at the apartment in the Augustenborg district last night, where they were alerted at 03:00.
– The residents had picked up an electric moped and placed it in the living room for charging, which then caught fire, says Magnus Karlsson.
There was a strong development of smoke which spread out into the stairwell.
Three seriously injured
The smoke divers managed to rescue four people from the apartment, all of whom were taken by ambulance to Skåne University Hospital.
Three of the people, a boy aged 10-14 and a man and a woman in their 50s, are seriously injured, according to Region Skåne.
