During 2023, Norrköping was hit by several serious violent crimes. It involves several explosions, shootings and, at the end of the year, two murders of young men.
In a memo from the police intelligence service that appears in the preliminary investigation regarding several explosions from last year, several of the violent crimes are linked to a conflict between the Hageby/Navestad-based network “Kalo” and a group from Marielund.
The sight of criminals’ money
Frida Braf does not want to go into detail about the various gangs, but confirms that there are several different conflicts in the city and that they work actively against several groups.
– We work long-term in cooperation in several areas. Among other things, against criminal finance in something we call “local operational cooperation” where we, together with other authorities, jointly take operational measures to go against the criminals’ money, says Frida Braf.
