According to the AFP news agency, the jihadist group’s attacks that began on Tuesday targeted the military police training center and the airport.
Dozens of people have died in Bamako, the capital of Mali in West Africa, in attacks carried out by a jihadist group, security sources said on Thursday.
Estimates of the number of dead vary between 77 and 100 people. In addition, at least 255 people are said to have been injured in the attack.
According to the AFP news agency, the attacks that began on Tuesday targeted the military police training center and the airport. A group linked to the terrorist organization al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The strikes have been condemned, among others, by the UN Secretary General António Guterresneighboring Senegal and president of the African Union Commission Faki Mahamat.
