Several deaths in wildfires in Turkey the situation is predicted

In the heat of the Eastern Mediterranean region, wildfires have started in various parts of Turkey.

At least five people have died and more than forty have been injured in wildfires in Turkey.

The worst of the fires has raged in southeastern Turkey, where a wildfire destroyed several villages between the cities of Diyarbakir and Mardin in the country’s Kurdish region.

– Five dead, 44 injured and 10 of them are in a serious condition, wrote the Turkish Minister of Health Fahrett’s Koca In the X message service.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya says that the fire started on Thursday evening and could not be brought under control due to strong winds.

Based on the video images transmitted by the Turkish public broadcasting company TRT, fires are also raging in the areas of Izmir, Çanakkale and Uşak.

Residents of numerous villages have been evacuated from the fire areas. In parts of Turkey, unusually high temperatures and strong winds for the time of year have been predicted for the next five days, which are feared to make it difficult to control the fires.
