Wright County officials confirmed that both of those who died in the area’s flooding were election officials working for Tuesday’s U.S. election.
According to the US National Weather Service NWS, the storm that hit Missouri had probably spawned tornadoes in the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas since the beginning of the week, but no one was reportedly injured.
