Several charged by Brantford police with impaired driving in recent

Brantford police have issued a number of recent impaired driving charges.

On Aug. 13 at about 2 am, a driver traveling the wrong way on a one-way road in the area of ​​Queen and Chatham streets hit a police vehicle.

A 32-year-old Brantford woman was charged with operation while impaired; drive wrong way – one-way traffic; and novice driver, blood-alcohol concentration above zero.

On Aug. 12 at about 10:15 pm, officers were called about a suspicious vehicle in the area of ​​Lynden Road and Roy Boulevard.

A concerned citizen reported a man was unconscious in the driver’s seat. Officers say drug paraphernalia was seen in the vehicle.

A 27-year-old Brantford man is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

On Aug. 12, officers were called to Darling Street where a vehicle had crashed into a fence and the driver was seen displaying strange behaviour.

A 35-year-old woman was charged with operation while impaired; driver fail to surrender license; drive motor vehicle not currently validated; and fail to have insurance card.

On Aug. 11, officers were called after a driver hit a telephone pole on West Street near Fleet Street just after 6 pm

A 33-year-old Brantford resident was charged with operation while impaired.
