In addition to the seven passengers who died, 27 supporters were also taken to hospital. According to Brazilian authorities, the bus was unregistered and was not actually allowed to travel across the state border.

The Brazilian Football Confederation follows suit:
“We deeply regret the fatal accident and send our sincere condolences to the victims’ relatives, friends and all Corinthians fans,” association president Ednaldo Rodrigues said in a statement.
