According to the police, two cars were involved in the accident and according to the emergency services, a total of seven people were taken to hospital. The extent of the injury is still unknown.
According to the police, the accident involved a rear-end collision. The accident occurred between Mommehål and Trafikplats Västervik. During the rescue work, southbound traffic is closed and one lane in the northbound direction is closed.
– There are a number of people who were taken to hospital for check-up or treatment, all were awake and talking, says police spokesperson Fredrik Bratt.
