Seven people have died in a plane crash in southern Chile on Friday, according to the country’s civil aviation authority.
Contact was lost with the small plane, which was of the Piper Navajo type, shortly after it took off from the city of Coyhaique. The pilot and all six passengers died in the crash.
It is still unclear what caused the accident, which will now be investigated by local authorities.

The cases of student debts with the Swedish Enforcement Agency have increased from 130,000 to 175,000 since the turn of the year, an increase of 35 percent, P3 Nyheter reports. Things like food, rent and electricity come before CSN debts, according to Davor Vuleta, personal finance spokesperson at the Kronofogden.
– When things are tough financially, I think that CSN debts end up lower on the priority list, says Vuleta.
Additional reasons may be that CSN debts have a low interest rate and a long repayment period.
Donald Trump’s private jet was diverted on Friday evening, Swedish time, to the airport in Billings, Montana, after a mechanical failure.
This is reported by the local television station KTVH.
The plane was actually going to the airport in Bozeman in the same state. Trump will give a campaign speech there during the night.
According to KTVH Trump is now expected to take a private plane to Bozeman and the Secret Service is in the process of searching the airport in Billings.
On his platform Truth social, Trump has shared a video from inside the plane where he says he “just landed in beautiful Montana”. However, he does not mention anything about the flight drama.
New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency as the aftermath of Storm Debby has begun to cause severe flooding in communities across New York.
There is also a risk of severe thunderstorms with possible tornadoes, writes the news channel 7News.
“It is important for New Yorkers to be vigilant and to stay off the roads,” the governor said in a statement.

Four people have died after a plane crash in Brazil. 62 people are said to have been on board, local media reports.
The plane was supposed to leave from Cascavel in Paraná and was going to Guarulhos in Greater São Paulo.

The UN human rights office is sounding the alarm that 29 people have been executed in two days in Iran this week, according to reports. It is an alarmingly high number, according to the UN office.
Minorities such as Kurds, Arabs and people from the border province of Baluchistan are overrepresented among those executed. Some are executed without their relatives or legal representatives being informed.
During the entire month of July, 38 people were executed, as verified by the UN. In total during the year, at least 345 people were executed in the country, among them 15 women. Most of them are convicted of drug offenses or murder.
– It is incompatible with international norms and human rights, says UN office spokesperson Liz Throssell.
UN human rights chief Volker Türk is very concerned, she adds.
A moped has crashed outside Kungsbacka.
According to SOS, the moped driver has injured his foot and has been examined by paramedics.

Relatives have been notified.
The truck driver escaped without physical injuries.
A truck and a car collided outside Svalöv at around 4 p.m.
Police, emergency services and an ambulance were on the scene.
There was a complete standstill in traffic, the police stated at 5 p.m.
Two people must be involved.
– The collision took place head-on.

Two Swedes who are suspected of being behind an explosion in Copenhagen on Tuesday – are now to be handed over to Denmark, writes Ekstra Bladet.
They have been in custody in Malmö since they were arrested on Tuesday evening at the Öresund Bridge.
The two – a 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – are suspected of throwing a hand grenade into a kiosk.
On Saturday, a detention hearing will be held in the Copenhagen district court.

Five men are detained on suspicion of, among other things, preparation for murder in Gävle and aggravated weapons offences, local media reports.
Several of the suspects are said to be known to the police from before and have connections to criminal motorcycle gangs.
The suspects, who are between 16 and 30 years old, were remanded in custody on Friday by the Gävle District Court. Over the past weekend, the men’s presence in Gävle stood out – something that led to the police noticing them.
– This leads to the police starting to conduct reconnaissance work and that they then make observations that lead to arrests and detentions, says prosecutor Joakim Johansson to P4 Gävleborg.
The men are from Stockholm, Östergötland and Värmland, among other places.
A sixth person, a woman, has been released but is still suspected of crime.
A carousel part has overturned in Kristianstad.
It happened at the temporary amusement park that is organized during the Kristianstad days.
The police are on the scene to find out what happened.
– It’s a carousel that has tipped over and a little girl has hurt herself in connection with it. She has visited the medical tents on site. We’ll see if it’s an accident or if someone breached security in some way, says Fredrik Bratt, police spokesperson.
The organizers confirm the event.
– A carriage overturned in a carousel. It was a family with a girl who was going to ride the carousel, says Tin Josefsdotter.

A man is detained on suspicion of murdering a 35-year-old woman in Malmö.
It was on Tuesday that the woman was found badly injured at an apartment building after falling from a balcony. She later died in hospital.
A man in his 40s was later arrested and on Friday he was remanded in custody by Malmö District Court on probable cause on suspicion of murder, writes Sydsvenskan.
The man denies wrongdoing.
