The Finnish Sports Federation (SUL) has nominated the first seven athletes for the summer World Championships. The World Championships will be held in Eugene, Oregon on May 15-24. July.
– Athletes with a performance limit made in 2021 were now selected for the team, said SUL’s top sports coaching manager Tuomo Salonen in the bulletin.
All the athletes named to the team took part in the Tokyo Olympics last summer. Hammer thrower To Silja Kosose19, and a triple jumper Senni Salminen26, however, the World Cup is the first.
The earnings limits for this year’s World Cup are unprecedented, so some of the competition places will be filled based on the rankings of the International Athletics Federation (WA).
– The team will be added next time at the end of May for athletes who have broken the performance limits, and then for the rest of the eligible athletes at the turn of June-July, Salonen said.
Profit limits must be violated by June 26 at the latest. The ranking will also close on the same day.
