Brazil’s star striker Neymar is on the sidelines for the last two World Cup preliminary group games. Neymar injured his ankle in the World Cup opener against Serbia on Thursday.
Neymar left the field in the second period, limping off the green.
Neymar has been through hard times before. He missed Copa America 2019 due to ankle ligament injuries and was out of action for several weeks in 2021 due to the same injury.
Neymar was fouled nine times in the Serbia match. He won four more free kicks for his team than anyone else in this tournament.
