Our first guests are the trio Zuco 103.
Produced during the pandemic, Telenova has been matured down to the smallest detail. A period during which the Dutch trio Zuco 103 refined their new titles where many musical styles mix, floating between Afro-Cuban rhythms and the typically Brazilian phrasing of Lilian. A mixture that they have perfected for 20 years, of improvisation in concerts, never hesitating to take risks. It is this love of adventure that makes their music crackle with unprecedented energy. BIO Zuco 103, which was born in 1999 under the name of Rec.a, was born from the meeting between singer Lilian Vieira, keyboardist Stefan Schmid and drummer Stefan Kruger, who had cut their teeth at SFeQ and New Cool Collective. Immediately their acid jazz with Brazilian accents seduced a large audience at the international level.
The trio met in 1989 at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where the Brazilian Lilian Vieira was studying singing. Schmid then coined the term “ Brazilectro to describe their music, which has become an international concept and paved the way for a whole scene of artists and DJs. Zuco 103 telescoped drum’n’bass with samba, bossa nova and dub, in a natural, refreshing and very danceable way. The trio would go on to play clubs and festivals around the world to great acclaim, including Fuji Rock Japan, Rock Werchter, and North Sea Jazz Festival, among others. Since 2020, the pandemic has allowed the band to take a break from their busy touring schedule and get back to basics. The result is a ninth album, Telenovacomposed as a collection of intimate songs, uptempo funk and Brazilian and Afro-Cuban grooves that illustrate the band’s positive energy, a true reflection of their natural chemistry, still going strong after 24 years on stage. Telenova allows us to find Zuco 103 at the top of its game. More than ever, the soap opera continues!

Then we receive Tiwayo for the release of Desert Dream.
After The Gipsy Soul of Tiwayo recorded in the old South of the USA and co-produced with the producer of the Black Keys, Tiwayo is back with his new album Desert Dream.
We hear the echo of the silence of the great American arid spaces. This soul of America, contained in its endless, dusty and lonely roads, which spin straight towards the hope of a more serene tomorrow.
Tiwayo traces this route as a lonesome multi-instrumentalist cowboy, documenting his journey with his unique voice.
