Maintenance on January 23rd – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtimes. It is planned that the servers will not be accessible for 2 hours and 45 minutes today.

This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:

  • Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 2:00 p.m.
  • The servers go offline at around 3:15 p.m. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • During the downtime, Bungie will release update 7.3.0.6. gradually rolling out so that players can download and install it on all platforms.
  • The shooter should be online again at 6:00 p.m. and you can log in again.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
  • This must be taken into account when dealing with downtimes: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time. In addition, queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer until you are back in the game.

Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also not be accessible properly for a while, meaning you won’t be able to use them.

That changes with update 7.3.0.6. in Season 23

This will be fixed today: With today’s update, Bungie would like to, among other things, fix the problem with the Warlord Totem fix from 7.3.0.5. This had negative effects on all totem summons in the “Ruin of the Warlord” dungeon and should therefore be reversed.

Bungie said the following about the current recovery issue:

  • It was a complex bug that required a major restructuring of the way Restoration stores its timer data and healing power logic. The fix was originally supposed to go live with Die Finale Form. But given the postponement of the DLC release date, they are now working on bringing this forward to the mid-season update.
  • While Bungie is still dealing with this known bug, here are the latest issues that players have reported to the developer in the help forum that are also set to be fixed.

  • Remastered Dreaming City weapons do not count towards the Cursebreaker title.
  • Some Guardians cannot use the Fireteam Finder above Guardian Rank 5.
  • The fingertips of Karnstein armlets no longer glow when the perk is active.
  • Guardians are not correctly unlocking the correct Triumphs after purchasing ritual ornaments for the Gallant Fire sword.
  • The Precision Instrument perk does not deal bonus damage against Divinity Domes.
  • The Sparrow “Alpine Advance” displays the wrong speed and lacks the Tuned/Individual Drive options.
  • The Veil Spectrometer is granted to multiple characters (not just the character who completed the quest). This makes it impossible to remove it again.
  • Guardians will incorrectly see a surrender pop-up if they start another activity from the post-game Crucible screen instead of returning to orbit first.
  • In the Kryptolite Heist Battlegrounds map on Europa, towers may appear active even though they had previously been deactivated. However, this is only a visual problem. It does not affect gameplay.
  • In the Robbery Battlegrounds map on Europe, enemies may suddenly load when entering certain areas.
  • If you open the navigator while the ghost is hacking in the Robbery Battlegrounds map on Mars, 2 targets will incorrectly appear on the map.
  • On some PCs, using the Alt key to bring up the desktop while the game is in full screen mode may cause the image to freeze and require a game restart.
  • Guardians on Xbox One cannot join fireteams in-game unless they are in the same bubble. However, Guardians can still invite other Guardians directly via the console menu.
  • Exotic weapons with unlockable crafting blueprints appear in collections without a red border.
  • The Crucible card “Eternity” did not count towards the “The Right Path” Triumph of the Immaculate Seal.
  • Bungie is investigating an issue that could result in players being unable to participate in competitive Crucible matches after their in-game ban has expired. Guardians affected by this issue can resolve it by playing a Competitive Crucible match with another character.
  • A raid’s postgame stats may incorrectly indicate that the damage dealt to the boss by all Guardians is 0.
  • Player name changes cannot be customized indefinitely via bungie.net. Many players are still waiting for the option to change their player name to return, rather than getting the message “You don’t have any name changes available.”
  • Patch notes for update 7.3.0.6. in Destiny 2
