Even during the winter break, Destiny 2 is taking a close look at what the loot shooter needs to keep everyone happy. For this reason, there is a new update today that specifically addresses your wishes and brings with it some improvements. MeinMMO has the details Destiny 2 players shouldn’t miss.
This is what you need to know today: While Bungie is officially still on winter break and players shouldn’t expect any big announcements until January 18th, that doesn’t mean the Destiny 2 team is sitting on its hands. Accordingly, an update was announced for today that brings some important changes to the game and relates to your wishes and suggestions.
The Togetherness modifier will be removed from the rotation of The Twist seasonal activity following community complaints that it made the activity unnecessarily burdensome for solo players.
Additionally, based on player feedback, several changes will be made to the PvP mode Checkmate.
There could be other changes that are currently on Bungie’s to-do list. So keep an eye on this article as MeinMMO will keep you updated during the downtime.
For the Guardians, June is all about the new DLC The Final Form:
Maintenance on January 9th – All times for server down
These times are important today: Bungie will always inform you via Twitter/X about any planned Destiny 2 downtime. Today the servers will be unavailable for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
This is the exact maintenance schedule:
Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 2:00 p.m.
The servers go offline at around 3:15 p.m. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
During the downtime, Bungie will gradually roll out update 7.3.0.5 so players can download and install it on all platforms.
The shooter MMO should be online again at 6:00 p.m. and you can log in again.
The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
This must be taken into account when dealing with downtimes: As long as background maintenance is running, there may be connection problems in the game. In addition, there may occasionally be queues when logging in, as Bungie only gradually unlocks access to the servers in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. It may also take longer until you are back in the game.
Third-party apps and the official companion app may also not be accessible correctly for a certain period of time.
That changes with Update 7.3.0.5 in Season 23
That changes today: Any Guardian can report bugs or dissatisfaction directly to Bungie. The developer includes these and his own bugs, errors and problems in his to-do list. The things that will be fixed soon are noted there.
The following things are currently on Bungie’s to-do list:
Bungie’s text chat filters are currently being tested. Players who encounter unexpected filter behavior should report it using a special form.
The release of Update 7.3.0.1 on December 5th fixed a bug that allowed Guardians to jump out of an activity without a corresponding UI or full Fireteam support.
This correction will be reversed in a January update and will allow the status quo for vault access to be maintained.
Bungie’s goal is to add the ability for the entire fireteam to enter the vault from anywhere in an update following The Final Form.
The health of the bubble created by the Blade of Action glaive is lower than intended.
Guardians currently do not gain health from Devour while they have a Nova Warp Super activated.
Healing Rifts can stop healing players after applying an overshield.
There is a lost champion in the Vanguard Ops version of the Psi-Ops Battleground: Cosmodrome.
Purchasing Gifts of the Dragon from Riven’s Lair while other players are activating the portal will result in an extremely loud noise.
Defeating Broken Knights too quickly in Warlord’s Ruin can result in players being prevented from progressing in the encounter.
The Warlord’s Ruin flawless solo completion tracker uses an incorrect dungeon name in the description.
Weaponmaster engrams earned by Guardians do not appear in the engram tracker.
“Find Squad Finder…” appears on the friend invitation verification screen even if the Fireteam Finder is not in use.
Checkpoints are not always saved when returning to orbit during Fireteam Finder activities.
Characters in the Fireteam Finder chat may appear somewhat blocked.
Some Fireteam Finder text is not visible in languages other than English.
Some menu items in the Fireteam Finder may sometimes appear blank.
The 100,000 Point Weekly Challenge in the Twist may not reset successfully.
Guardians who are at the Polysemy Activity level of the Seasonal Quest cannot start or enter the activity with other Guardians they have already completed.
The Exotic Dragon Breath Catalyst Quest is not progressing as expected in seasonal activities.
Certain Triumphs in Warlord’s Ruin issue incorrect rewards. Guardians who achieve these Triumphs will receive the corresponding rewards in a future update.
Level 4 Blind Source runs grant less progress toward the Seasonal Challenge “A City Built by a Wish” than lower level runs.
Weaponmaster engrams do not appear in the engram tracker.
Last but not least: Player name changes cannot be adjusted indefinitely via bungie.net. Many Number Guardians continue to wait for the option to change their player name to return instead of receiving the message “You have no name changes available.”

Or would you rather give an opinion on the boss of the darkness, who isn’t doing so well at the moment because he prefers to chill in the traveler: Destiny 2 fans expect more from the big boss of the darkness: “Didn’t do anything except open a portal”
