Server down for the last patch before “The Final Shape” – All patch notes and info

Before Destiny 2 launches next week with “The Final Shape”, Bungie will shut down its servers again. You can find out when the server down will begin on May 29, 2024 here.

Update, 7:30 p.m.: You can now actually log in again. We managed it, but the servers don’t look stable. We keep getting “contacting servers” messages. Be prepared for complications. There was no update file available for download.

This is what you need to know today: Today Bungie is shutting down its servers for standard maintenance. This time it is not known why Bungie is shutting down its servers. The developers are probably tightening the last screws before the release of “The Final Shape” so that everything is ready next week.

However, MeinMMO will keep you updated. We will tell you how long the downtime will last. We will also update this article as soon as there is new information.

Maintenance on May 29th – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie is informing its players about the exact downtime via x.com (formerly Twitter). The plan is for the servers to be unavailable for 3:15 hours today.

This is the maintenance schedule:

  • Background maintenance will start at 3:00 p.m. on all platforms.
  • At around 3:45 p.m. the servers go offline. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • The shooter should be back online at 7 p.m. and you can log in again.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 9:00 p.m.
  • This must be taken into account during downtimes: While the background maintenance is running, you may experience connection problems in the game. In addition, queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer before you can get back into the game.

Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also be down for a while, preventing you from using them.

This changes with the new update in Season 23

The following problems are known: There are also many problems that players are complaining about in Season of Wishes. Bungie has a few on its list, but it is not known which of them will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:

  • Major changes to the sandbox for PvP are to be rolled out.
  • The Fireteam Finder is missing some options like adding Bungie friends.
  • Some legendary emotes are sorted with exotic emotes.
  • Veist rifles can only be partially rotated when inspecting them.
  • The Mindtwister’s Aspirations shotgun no longer glows when fired.
  • Some rocket launchers no longer appear when inspected.
  • Old artifacts still appear in players’ inventories.
  • Patch notes for the update on May 29th in Destiny 2

What does the patch notes say? A full list of all the fixed issues and improvements will be available later this evening or afternoon after the update goes live.

We will update our article and provide you with the link to the patch notes. It is possible that the patch notes may change or be corrected by Bungie.

Patch notes will be available here soon
