Server down for “The Final Shape” starts in a few days – All information and downtime

In Destiny 2, “The Final Shape” starts on June 4th, but before the last DLC can begin, Bungie is shutting down its servers for a mega downtime. You can find out everything you need to know about the downtime and server status here.

What you need to know: As with every DLC release, Bungie is shutting down Destiny 2 for a downtime. The old servers need new patches before they have to withstand the onslaught of happy Guardians. To ensure that everything goes smoothly, Bungie announced a long downtime of up to 25 hours a few days before the release.

There will be a preload during the server downtime so that Guardians can jump into the action immediately after the maintenance. Maintenance on 04.06. – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie already informed its players in Destiny 2 about the upcoming mega downtime, which is expected to last up to 25 hours. If complications arise, the time could be extended.

This is the maintenance schedule:

  • The maintenance starts on 03.06. at 18:00 German time
  • The maintenance ends on June 4th at 7pm German time, matching the Weekly Reset
  • The preload will be available on all platforms after Destiny 2 is taken offline
    • This must be taken into account during downtimes: During major server maintenance for a DLC release, connection problems and error codes can occur that kick players out of the game. Since a large rush of players is expected for the release of “The Final Shape”, you should also be prepared to wait when logging in. For Lightfall, players didn’t have to wait in a queue at all, but you never know.

    Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also be down for a while, preventing you from using them.
