In Destiny 2, “The Final Shape” starts on June 4th, but before the last DLC can begin, Bungie is shutting down its servers for a mega downtime. You can find out everything you need to know about the downtime and server status here.
What you need to know: As with every DLC release, Bungie is shutting down Destiny 2 for a downtime. The old servers need new patches before they have to withstand the onslaught of happy Guardians. To ensure that everything goes smoothly, Bungie announced a long downtime of up to 25 hours a few days before the release.
There will be a preload during the server downtime so that Guardians can jump into the action immediately after the maintenance. We will be there with a ticker early in the morning of the release and will be eagerly awaiting the start of the DLC with you – so be there!

These times are important today: Bungie already informed its players in Destiny 2 about the upcoming mega downtime, which is expected to last up to 25 hours. If complications arise, the time could be extended.
