Destiny 2 is shutting down its servers for minor maintenance today, December 10th. The servers will therefore be unavailable for a few hours. You can find out from us when maintenance begins and what is in the patch notes.

Update, 4:30 p.m.: In 15 minutes the servers will go into maintenance mode. From then on you can no longer gamble until 6:00 p.m.

This is what you need to know today: The dawn begins today with update 8.1.5.1. With it, Guardians will be able to bake cookies with the space grandma “Eva Levante” again to create a Christmas atmosphere. We’ll show you how long the downtime will last in our overview.

Maintenance on December 10th – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie informs its players on x.com about the exact downtimes. It is planned that the servers will not be accessible for 1:15 hours today.

This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:

  • Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 3:30 p.m.
  • At around 4:45 p.m. the servers go offline. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • The shooter should be online again at 6:00 p.m. and you can log in again.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
    • This must be taken into account when dealing with downtimes: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time. In addition, queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer until you are back in the game.

    Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also not be accessible properly for a while, meaning you won’t be able to use them.

    That changes with the new update in Revenant

    The following problems are known: There are also many problems that players have to complain about in The Final Shape. Bungie has a few on the list, but it’s unknown which ones will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:

  • The checkpoints for some Grandmaster raids are not saved.
  • The fourth Iron Banner Weekly Challenge does not grant the Iron Banner Memento upon completion.
  • Iron Banner rewards do not drop as intended after a victory.
  • Vanguard Ops modifiers may change after spawning in an area.
  • Only one player can open the first secret chest in Vesper’s Domain. Fireteams must perform a wipe to allow other team members to access the chest.
  • The Tomb of the Ancients elixirs do not increase the chances of certain weapons as expected.
  • In Contest of the Elders, players who run out of resurrection tokens and then die may become stuck when the “Looking for entry location” screen appears (actually, they should restart the activity or move to orbit).
  • In Contest of the Elders, sometimes only five of six Explosive Tanks will appear during the Spider Tank encounter, resulting in a soft lock until players are wiped out of the game and restart it.
  • In Vesper’s Domain, players cannot deposit the nuclear core in the bunker if the Corrupted Puppeteer’s wipe mechanic starts as soon as the core drops.
  • Players who are unable to complete step 6 of the Renegade Network quest may need to collect the collectible in the Heart Room without solving the puzzle.
