Destiny 2 is shutting down its servers for minor maintenance today, October 15th. Players therefore have to do without their space magic for a few hours. We’ll tell you about the patch notes and downtimes.

Update, 7:21 p.m.: The patch notes have been published and the update can now be downloaded on the PS5 (via bungie.net). Once you have downloaded the update, you can log in again. Have a nice evening!

This is what you need to know today: Destiny 2 servers are shutting down today. This is standard maintenance. The Festival of the Lost is not yet celebrated, but some errors that are currently causing problems have certainly been eliminated.

Maintenance on October 15th – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie informs its players on x.com about the exact downtimes. It is planned that the servers will not be accessible for 3:15 hours today.

This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:

  • Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 3:00 p.m.
  • At around 3:45 p.m. the servers go offline. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • The shooter should be online again at 7:00 p.m. and you can log in again.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 9:00 p.m.
    • This must be taken into account when dealing with downtimes: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time. In addition, queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer until you are back in the game.

    Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also not be accessible properly for a while, meaning you won’t be able to use them.

    The following problems are known: There are also many problems that players have to complain about in The Final Shape. Bungie has a few on the list, but it’s unknown which ones will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:

  • Gunpowder Gambling prevents the Facet of Remediation healing effect from activating for Hunter Prism Focus.
  • Gunpowder gambling prevents the Hunter Prism Focus weapon perk “Adrenaline Junkie” from activating.
  • The IX shell can glow extremely bright with certain shaders.
  • The Abnormal Action pistol shows 0 range stat.
  • The Twin-Tailed Fox Exotic Rocket Launcher does not receive Elemental Weapon Surge armor mods.
