Fortnite servers are going down today, March 20th, on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to load the 23.50 update onto the servers.
What’s happening in Fortnite today? Epic Games is shutting down the servers for Season 2 Chapter 4 for the first time. This update is most likely just a maintenance that should fix various bugs in the game. Nevertheless, we accompany the maintenance and report to you about the ongoing downtime.
Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are expected to be shut down at 9:00 a.m. German time to install a hotfix. Matchmaking is already disabled 30 minutes beforehand, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds after 8:30 a.m.
When can you play again? This is a short update. It is therefore likely that Epic Games could restart the servers at 10:00 a.m. or even at 11:00 a.m. But that is not confirmed.
We will update this post as soon as a start time is known or we have new information.
When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games usually posts a short list of patch notes on their site after the update. If that happens, we will list them briefly and clearly for you here.
What content could come with Update 24.01?
Epic Games reveals little to no new information about upcoming content before a new update. Trusted leakers like Shiina have been keeping an eye on the data that’s been hidden for a long time and know roughly what players can expect.
This time it’s more of a minor maintenance that will most likely only fix bugs. However, stay tuned as soon as the patch notes or leaks are released.
