Fortnite servers are going down today, November 15th, on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to load the new update 22.40 onto the servers. Preliminary patch notes for the update can be found here.
What’s happening in Fortnite today? The servers are shut down again in Fortnite. This is the last update for Season 4. After that, the BR shooter prepares for its live event and the upcoming 4th chapter.
Update, 8:34 am: Matchmaking has now been disabled. The servers are ready to be shut down at 09:00.
In addition, the story behind Season 4 could be continued again. Patch 22.40 could bring new quests, items, weapons and more to the map to prepare you for the coming “nothing”.
Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are expected to be shut down at 9:00 a.m. German time in order to install update 22.40. Matchmaking is already disabled 30 minutes beforehand, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds after 8:30 a.m.
When can you play again? During such maintenance work, the servers are usually offline for several hours and playing is then no longer possible. The downtime is expected to last between 30 minutes and 2 hours. The updates of the past few weeks have shown that.
Such maintenance work can always lead to technical problems, bugs and delays. If such complications should arise, we will report them here immediately.
