Destiny 2 has prepared the first update in Lightfall, because the guardians are plaguing some bugs that want to be fixed. We’ll tell you when the servers will go offline and what problems are currently known that Bungie might fix today.

What you need to know today: Destiny 2: Lightfall is still not running smoothly. The game’s modern suite is still tweaking and tweaking, so Bungie has prepared an update for today, Thursday, March 9th, with a long background maintenance.

MeinMMO tells you when you can’t gamble today and what Bungie’s to-do list is on the table. Due to yesterday’s preparation, the planned downtime will be very short, as always, but hopefully we will be able to fix a few annoying errors.

Maintenance on 09.03. – All times to the server down

These times are important today: Bungie’s bug list is long. However, the update routine is usually short and crisp. So the effective downtime will be longer today. (via twitter). The announced schedule is as follows:

  • At 5:00 p.m. German time, maintenance work will start in the background on all platforms.
  • From 5:45 p.m. the servers will go offline and you will be automatically kicked out of all activities.
  • The servers are scheduled to come back online around 8:00 p.m. and update 7.0.0.3 will be rolled out for all platforms. After the download you can log back into the game.
  • Continuous background maintenance will then officially end at 9:00 p.m. if everything goes smoothly.

    • Important: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in-game, you may experience connection issues until the end of maintenance at 9:00 p.m. You may also have to expect queues when logging in.

    Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be properly accessible for a while after the update.

    Players hope that Bungie will eliminate annoying Lightfall bugs today

    That brings the hotfix today: Bungie currently has some bugs to fix that crept in or continued with Lightfall.

    MeinMMO is now listing problems that Bungie is already aware of as well as those that our readers have pointed out and that could possibly be fixed today.

  • During yesterday’s background maintenance, the API was offline for a while to allow Bungie to investigate error codes, inability to log in, and queues.
  • There is a rapid increase in Destiny 2 crash reports for players on PS5 consoles.
  • Nimbus’ weekly challenge bounty for the Vex Incursion event was not resetting properly.
  • Both the jötunn and the exotic glaive Winter’s Bite are still disabled.
  • Also, the arc hunter’s melee had to be disabled due to an issue.
  • Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle and Spiteful Touch Exotic Scout Rifle have lost their 40% damage increase against red bar enemies.
  • There is an issue where some player characters and weapons appear invisible after repeated interactions with the commendation screen in activities.
  • Also, the game may currently crash when players go to the Commendations page in the Journeys tab.
  • Step 13 of the Lightfall campaign quest blocks progress in places, so currently you sometimes need the help of other players to progress.
  • Player name changes are not infinitely customizable through bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to change their player name again instead of the message “You don’t have any name changes available.” to obtain.
  • There have also been reports of issues that can result in players encountering missing licenses, delayed Silver purchases, or incorrect Silver balances on their accounts.

    • If you encounter any other issues with the game, it is recommended that you report them directly to the official Bungie Help forums to bring them to the attention of the developers. Alternatively, you can leave us a comment if you are aware of other bugs in the game.
