In Destiny 2, support resumes its work, bringing the first downtime in 2023. Because of that, today is comingon January 11th an update to the game. We’ll tell you when the servers on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and Google Stadia will go offline and why part of this Hotfix 6.3.0.3 will please many players.
What you need to know today: At Bungie, the support routine is officially returning today, so players can expect the first update of the new year. Hotfix 6.3.0.3 is coming up and Bungie has planned an important Quality of Life change in the update that will make many players happy.
However, the update also means that you will face a small downtime tonight during which you will not be able to gamble. MeinMMO will accompany you during the update and update this article with fresh information. So you don’t miss anything.
19:30 o’clock: Bungie has released the patch notes for the update. You can find them further down in the article.
6:10 p.m.: The servers are back online with a slight delay. Hotfix 6.3.0.3 is rolling out and you can start the download. On PC this is 133.7 MB in size.
5:45 p.m.: The Destiny 2 servers are now offline. You now have 15 minutes for a gaming break.
17:00 o’clock: Background maintenance has just started on Destiny 2. You now have 45 minutes to complete your ongoing activities before the Destiny 2 servers go offline for 15 minutes.
Immediately after the update, players can jump back into the activities of the Season of the Seraph and find out how to tactically thwart Xivu Arath’s plans without playing into her hands.

Update 6.3.0.3 on 11.01. – All times and server down
For each update, Bungie announces downtimes when players cannot gamble. We offer you this information in our article with the German times. So you can plan your gaming evening well.

Important: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in-game, you may experience connection issues until the end of maintenance at 7:00 p.m. You may also have to expect queues when logging in.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be properly accessible for a while after the update.
Note for all Stadia users: On January 18, 2023, Stadia will be shut down and players will lose access to their Destiny 2 characters. If you want to avoid this, you have to set up Cross Save on another platform by then. Bungie has made sure that it will allow players to use their characters on linked platforms even after Stadia has closed.
This changes with Update 6.3.0.3 in Season 19
Since there was no “This Week at Bungie” blog over the holidays, not much information on long-term planned changes is known at this time. However, Bungie has made a few advance announcements and may also address a few legacy issues and new bugs directly in the first update.
