It’s update time again in Destiny 2. Hotfix 6.2.5.1 will be rolled out tonight and new fixes will be uploaded to the servers. We will accompany you again through the downtime.

What you need to know today: On Tuesday, October 25th, it’s time for an update again. This means that guardians have to briefly interrupt their game again today for Hotfix 6.2.5.1 in Season 18 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, on PC and on Google Stadia.

Update 6:15 p.m.: Bungie has probably preferred the server down and has already deactivated the servers. So you won’t be able to log in again until Bungie has released the patch. When you try to log in you get the error message “Cat”.

Maintenance on 10/25 – All times and server down

For each update, Bungie announces downtimes when players cannot gamble. We offer you this information in our German times article so that you can plan your gaming evening better.

These times are important today:

  • At 6:00 p.m. German time, maintenance work will start in the background on all platforms.
  • From 6:45 p.m. the servers will go offline and you will be automatically kicked out of all activities.
  • The servers are scheduled to come back online around 7:00 p.m. and update 6.2.5.1 will be rolled out for all platforms. You can then log back into the game.
  • Even if the servers are online, the maintenance officially runs until 8:00 p.m.

    • Important: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in-game, you may experience connection issues until the end of maintenance at 8:00 p.m. You may also have to expect queues when logging in.

    Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be properly accessible for a while after the update.

    Current list of currently known issues:

  • Lord of the Wolves has been disabled due to an error. Bungie has therefore announced that it will make the gun accessible again in the game with update 6.2.5.1
  • The season intro cinematic can have extremely low framerates when viewed on the Epic Games Store. This issue can be resolved by updating the Epic Games Store to the latest version.
  • Players cannot purchase looted Umbral Energy from the Season 18 Premium Season Pass rewards before completing the Season 18 Introductory Mission.
  • Some players may be unable to place relics earned in the HELM weekly quest “Ship Thief’s Sails”.
  • Other Known Issues

    • If you find problems in the game yourself, then it is recommended to report them directly via the official Bungie Help forum to make the developers aware of them.
