Two passengers are suspected of carrying the extremely deadly virus, the German newspaper Bild reports.

A serious suspicion of the virus has been detected at Hamburg’s main train station on Wednesday. Due to the incident, the police have temporarily isolated two platforms from traffic.

German newspaper Bild saysthat two passengers arriving from Frankfurt are suspected of carrying the extremely deadly Marburg virus.

According to the magazine, the 26-year-old medical student had arrived in Frankfurt on a direct flight from Rwanda together with his girlfriend.

During his trip, the student had been exposed to a person who was later diagnosed with Marburg disease. During the train journey, the two who arrived from Rwanda had symptoms related to the disease.

According to Bild’s estimate, there were about 200 passengers on the train that arrived from Frankfurt.

Marburg disease is an Ebola-like hemorrhagic fever that originated in Africa. Bild says the disease is extremely deadly. The magazine says that at least 24 percent of those who get sick die from the disease.
