The man was arrested on June 2 and arrested the next day. In addition to the semi-automatic pistol, he had a rifle with an associated bolt, binocular sight silencers and a variety of ammunition – a total of 378 shots of various types and calibers.
Considers the crime to be serious
The man lacked the right to the weapons and in the lawsuit, the prosecutor demands that the crime be assessed as serious.
“It has been held in such an environment that it can typically be feared that it will be used for criminal purposes and the possession has been intended for several weapons,” it is stated in the lawsuit.
Admits other crimes
The man denies the crime but is also charged on several counts. Among other things, a minor weapon crime regarding an electric shock pistol, which he admits. The 35-year-old admits to shoplifting that amounted to a value of just over SEK 1,400.
