At 12:40, the police, emergency services and ambulance were called to the E4 at the height of Bergby between Gävle and Söderhamn due to a traffic accident.
– It is a serious accident. At least one person is seriously injured and there are several vehicles involved, police spokesperson Magnus Jansson Klarin told TV4 Nyheterna at an early stage.
A moment later, the police announced that a motorcycle and a car were involved in the accident. The MC driver is seriously injured.
Both vehicles will be impounded to rule out any fault.

Due to the accident, there is a complete standstill in the northbound direction. In the southbound direction, there is very limited access, the police state.
According to SOS Alarm, five units from the rescue service and four ambulances have been alerted. An ambulance helicopter is also on the scene.
It is still unclear what caused the accident.
