Awakening At least ten dead in stabbings in Canada

The police are silent on the details of the crimes or a possible motive. Serial stabbers are being searched for in an area the size of almost half of Europe.

On Monday evening, Canadian police continued the search for two serial stabbers suspected of killing ten people in the prairie province of Saskatchewan.

An additional 15 people were wounded in the bloodshed in the James SmithCree Nation indigenous community and in the town of Weldon.

The police chief of the provincial capital, Regina By Evan Bray the suspects may still be hiding in the city, where there were unconfirmed eyewitness sightings of them from Sunday.

On Monday, the police did not disclose the details of the crimes, but released the names and photos of the suspects. Nor did they want to make assumptions about the motive of the crimes. There are a total of 13 crime scenes.

According to the police, some of the victims were chosen by the suspects and some were attacked randomly.

A search area half the size of Europe

A dangerous person alert was issued in Saskatchewan on Sunday morning local time when police began receiving reports of stabbings from various locations. The first call came after half past six in the morning local time, that is, in the afternoon Finnish time.

When there was a possible sighting of the suspects in the city of Regina, more than 300 kilometers from the stabbing sites, the warning and search was also extended to the provinces of Manitoba and Alberta. The area is almost half the size of Europe.

The police had checkpoints along the roads on different sides of the search area, and it was said that all possible police forces were in use.
