Perez said he was happy and excited about the future. At the moment, he is enjoying the freedom that leaving sports aside has brought to life.

– If I get a good and interesting project, I will definitely consider and think about it. Everything will happen in time. Right now, my priority for the coming months is to have fun, do what I haven’t been able to do, travel, be with my family, Perez listed.

Perez plans to make decisions about what he wants to do next in his career in the next six months.

– I will return to F1 if it makes me the happiest. That’s all I’m going to consider, which is what will make me happier in the years to come.

Perez debuted in the F1 series in 2011. He drove for Red Bull for the last four seasons.

In December, the team announced that Perez would not continue with the team.

He will be replaced by a New Zealander Liam Lawson. Another of Reb Bull’s drivers is a multiple world champion, a Dutchman Max Verstappen.

The 2025 F1 season starts in March in Australia.
