Sisters Venus and Serena Williams have won an invitation to play together in the US Open women’s doubles which begins on Monday, the organizers of what could be the last tournament of Queen Serena’s extraordinary career announced on Saturday (August 27th). Venus, 42, and Serena, 40, have twice won the US Open in doubles (1999 and 2009), but haven’t played it together since 2014. In total, the pair have won 14 major doubles titles since his first Grand Slam appearance, already at the US Open, in 1997.
