North Korea has fired two short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast on Monday morning local time, South Korea’s military said.
The launches took place near a coastal city just north of North Korea’s capital, Pyongyang, according to a statement from the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Japanese Coast Guard also issued a warning.
It is the second test firing in two days and comes after North Korean warnings ahead of upcoming military exercises between the US and South Korea.
