Seol: Protesters storm the court

Tens of thousands of protesters had gathered outside Seoul’s court on Saturday, ahead of a decision on whether to keep detained President Yoon Suk-Yeol in custody.

Following the decision, supporters of the president stormed the building, reports AFP. Among other things, they are said to have broken window panes.

Yoon Suk-Yeol imposed martial law in South Korea late at night on December 3rd. Martial law was lifted a few hours later, after parliament voted.

In mid-December, he was stripped of presidential power after parliament voted to impeach him.
