A 19-year-old man is convicted of a shooting at a hairdressing salon and for throwing a hand grenade against a door in Uppsala.

The man, who according to Uppsala District Court undertook to carry out assignments for payment via chats in social media, is sentenced to 14 years in prison.

The shooting took place in the afternoon in September last year. The incident with the hand grenade occurred a few days earlier.

In connection with the shooting at the salon, there were many people moving on the site and several people were also inside the room, according to the district court. The 19-year-old has claimed that he was aiming for the floor, but the court states that he shot straight in and that the people in there risked meet and die.

“The man has exposed the plaintiffs to an extremely ruthless and risky deed. Several of them have not been able to escape but have tried to take shelter on the floor and behind furniture, ”said councilor Karin Lambertz in a comment.

He was arrested by police in the vicinity shortly thereafter. He then admitted that it was he who had shot.
