A Tinder date in Sollefteå ended with assault, robbery and unlawful detention. Two people are now being sentenced for a series of crimes linked to the incident, reports the newspaper Ångermanland.

It was in April that a 45-year-old man decided to meet with a 20-year-old woman. The meeting was organized in a parking lot and the people then went on to an apartment in Sollefteå municipality. Once at the residence, the man was beaten and robbed by what he describes in interrogation as five masked men. According to the indictment, the men were equipped with a gun-like object, a mop and golf clubs.

After the events in the apartment, the man was forced into his car and driven to an industrial area – where he was later left.

Now two people – the woman and one of the men – are sentenced to three years in prison for robbery and illegal deprivation of liberty. A third man was acquitted in the case, as the court did not find it proven that he was one of the masked people.
