The incident occurred in September last year at the Medborgarplatsen station on Södermalm. Afterwards, the young man himself called the police, who were able to arrest the 64-year-old on the same platform. The young man has told police interrogations that the 64-year-old, with whom he has no relationship, “looked at him strangely” a few times before he handed out the push. The 64-year-old has stated in questioning that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time and that he only has vague memories of the day in question. He has also said that he did not give any push and that the young man must have misunderstood the situation. In addition to the prison sentence, the 64-year-old must pay SEK 200,000 in damages to the young man.
