Senegal has just seen the creation of a new coalition, called the “bloc of liberals and democrats” (BLD) – Takku (“to unite” in Wolof). Composed of 40 parties, including those of former President Macky Sall and former Prime Minister Idrissa Seck, this formation is launched at a time when rumors of a dissolution of the National Assembly are gaining momentum.
