The Ecco le Dauphin license soon to return? This is what seems to be happening on the side of SEGA, which in fact redeposited the “Ecco” and “Ecco The Dolphin” brands on December 27, 2024 in Japan. This maneuver has just been made public, everything seems to point towards this desire to resurrect a license which made the heyday of the Megadrive in the early 90s. Knowing that at the end of 2023, SEGA had expressed its intention to relaunch some of its licenses historical, there is a good chance that SEGA will want to do something with this franchise. It remains to be seen in what form Ecco could return. Will we be entitled to the remaster of the first title, a remake perhaps, just to stick to today’s canons, or let’s be crazy, a whole new episode? Everything is possible…
