See the first crash test of a moped car in Sweden

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The crash test was done at a speed of only 40 kilometers per hour. But despite the low speed, it ended badly for the vehicle and the two dolls sitting in the car. Only one of them was wearing a seat belt, to show how important it is.

– At this speed and with this non-existent stopping distance. I’m not a doctor, I’m a technician, but I would imagine that if these dolls were passengers, they would now be very badly injured and have to spend a long time in hospital, if they don’t die, says Jan Wenäll, research engineer, VTI.

Six out of ten do not use a seat belt

In A-tractors today there is no requirement that there be a belt and according to VTI’s survey, 6 out of 10 drivers do not always use a belt in their A-tractor. For those who drive mopeds, the same figure was 2 out of 10 drivers. In mopeds, according to the law, you must always wear a seat belt, as long as you are not wearing a helmet.
