Simon took his unique photos late last Tuesday evening, in the middle of a residential area in Östavall.
– Someone had tipped me off that the wolf was in the area, so I went here and stood for ten minutes or fifteen minutes. And right where it was, he came out of the ditch and straight towards me, says Simon when he shows the film to SVT’s broadcaster.
What did you think?
– It was exciting to see it up close. But it is a predator and not something you want in the village.
According to the County Administrative Board in Västernorrland, there have been several reports of wolves in the area recently, and droppings have been found which have now been sent in for analysis in order to ascertain via dna whether it really is a wolf.
– We hope to get an answer sometime at the beginning of next week, says Emil Lindberg, environmental officer at the County Administrative Board to SVT.
