When a security guard in Gothenburg was late for work, his boss forcibly shaved his hair.
Now several people are sounding the alarm about the Chief of Security’s punishments against employees – which should not be one-off events, according to information to GP.
More people raised the alarm and contacted The Gothenburg Post after a picture of a security guard with a half-shaven head was circulated in an internal chat group among Securitas employees.
The security guard had been forcibly shaved when he overslept on the job and therefore missed opening a store where Securitas is responsible for security.
The boss has a shaver in the cupboard
According to the information provided to the GP, the forced shaving that was caught on video must have taken place last year.
However, it should not be the first time that employed security guards have their hair shaved when they have made a mistake. According to the sources, it must have occurred for a long time.
– This boss has a razor in his cupboard. It is common knowledge among many within Securitas that this has happened and that it has happened several times, a person told the newspaper.
Securitas: “Unacceptable behavior”
After the alarm to GP, Securitas became aware of the forced shaving and has therefore started an internal investigation.
The investigation is still active and the company’s press officer believes that she therefore cannot comment on the incident in detail.
“What I can say is that there have been events that are directly inappropriate and regardless of the reason, this is unacceptable behavior that is in no way in line with our values and code of conduct,” writes Malin Luuke, press officer at Securitas to GP.
She also adds that they take the incident seriously and that the company will take measures to put an end to the punishment.
