The Secure Payment System, established by the Ministry of Commerce and the Notaries Association, will officially become mandatory on September 27.
The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey made the following statement on this matter today from the X account: did: “The use of the Secure Payment System established by the Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Notaries Union, As of Friday, September 27, 2024, it will become mandatory for all second-hand motor vehicle purchases and sales made by methods such as cash, money order or EFT. As of this date, vehicle transfer transactions will not be carried out by notary publics without the vehicle fee being transferred to the account number registered in the Secure Payment System. In order to avoid congestion and victimization in notary publics, before going to the notary, through the secure payment system menu on the internet or mobile site of the contracted bank, electronic money institution or payment institution;

a- Log in to the System using the reference number sent to him/her via SMS or e-mail and confirm the information entered by the seller,

The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey previously made the following statement on this matter from the X account: did: “We are switching to a new system that will make second-hand vehicle shopping much safer and completely eliminate fraud cases. The Secure Payment System, implemented in cooperation with our Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Notaries Union, will become mandatory as of September 27.” In this system, the seller will first initiate the secure payment process, then the buyer will deposit the money to the intermediary institution with the reference number before going to the notary. After the sale is approved, the money waiting in the secure account will be transferred to the seller’s account.
