Secrets of the Restricted Section task and solution

Secrets of the Restricted Section quest and its solution is the eighth main task in the game. Unlocks after completing Professor Heckert’s quest. Hogwarts Legacy: Secrets of the Restricted Section quest

After completing Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1, you return to Professor Fig. While we were chatting with him about our previous assignment, Professor Black, the headmaster with his rude manners, walks in and takes him away from you. We have to use our own intelligence to enter the restricted section in the library.

Go and talk to Sebastian Sallow as stated in the next quest. He agrees to help you get into the Restricted Section and wants to meet you in the evening. You don’t need to spend much time. The game just goes back to the evening. Talk to Sebastian again. He will teach you the Disillusionment spell to make yourself temporarily invisible.

Cast your newly learned Disillusionment spell to protect yourself from patrolling students. Sneak past them all through the door to the library and meet Sebastian downstairs.

When you enter the library, the librarian is inside. You need to get the key from his desk. Become invisible using the Disillusionment spell and quietly approach the table and get the key.

Continue to the right of the hall when Sebastian drops the books on the floor to distract the other librarian inside. Open the locked door and go down the stairs. The book you’re looking for is on the floor below, but first you’ll have to sneak past two ghosts. Use the armor as a distraction and then keep moving forward.

As you proceed, you will see stairs leading to a lower floor. Follow the road. At the end you will see a door. Open it and go down the stairs.

Peeves await you at the end of the hall here. Sebastian will go after her to stop her from complaining. You are alone now.

There is a set of armor scattered on the ground in your path. Raise him in front of you using the Reparo spell.

When you continue, you will find the Restricted Section. You can’t see it when you come to the door, but there is a magical area on the ground right in front of it that will show the door. Examine it. You can now pass through the magical door.

You go down the stairs again. When you come to the door of The Athenaeum, examine it and enter. When you move a little further, you come to an abyss. Reparo won’t work here. You have to hit the round rune standing on the door right in front of you. This will open the bridge. You can cross safely.

Some enemies will appear in the next room. Become invisible using the Disillusionment spell, sneak up on them and kill them.

You come to a bridge again. Open it in the same way by hitting the rune on it. But be careful, there are people on both sides of the bridge waiting to block you. As the bridge opens, run forward without waiting. The bridge will be closed close to your arrival. Jump without waiting and grab the edge of the entrance.

We are now in the last room. Again shoot the rune on the hill. Half of the bridge will open. When you reach the end, fire the rune again. The rest of the bridge will also be opened.

Just before entering the room, there are two chests on the right and left of the corridor. Open them and get the contents. One will spawn Pinstriped Scarf, and the other will spawn Wiggenweld Potion.

There are many enemies waiting for you inside and their only aim is to take you down. It will be a bit of a challenge, but you have to destroy each of them. Therefore, do not forget to use protection.

After killing them all, go through the door and watch the cinematics with the pleasure of finding the book you are looking for.
