Nine new charges of suspected disobedience to law enforcement have been brought after a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Lundagård at Lund University earlier this year, reports P4 Malmöhus.
According to the indictment, the persons now charged must have disturbed the public order and have not followed the police’s orders.
It was on May 30 this year that the police entered a tent camp set up by the protesters in the area a couple of weeks ago. The police urged everyone to leave the scene and those who did not obey were taken away, writes Sydsvenskan.
A total of 41 people were served with suspicion of disobedience to law enforcement, of which 27 were arrested.
Last week, two people were sentenced to daily fines after the protests according to P4.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of throwing a hand grenade into a shop in Gnesta in Södertälje.
A man in his 20s has also been arrested on suspicion of a shooting in Hagsätra in southern Stockholm.
Max Åkerwall, deputy head of police area Stockholm south, states that the crime has international connections.
– We have a good idea of the underlying causes of the violence. We have detained the majority of young perpetrators and have good hopes of solving the crimes, he says in a press release.
He continues:
– Crime in Södertälje is multifaceted and does not only affect certain geographical areas, but has national and international connections.

A Spanish court has sentenced a 76-year-old man to 18 years in prison. The man was found guilty of having sent letter bombs to, among others, the Prime Minister of Spain and the embassies of Ukraine and the United States.
The man opposed the Western countries’ support for Ukraine after Russia’s attack in 2022. He has been found guilty of terrorism and of having manufactured letter bombs that he sent to six different addresses, the court announced.
A guard was injured when a package addressed to Ukraine’s ambassador exploded in Madrid. After the incident, security measures were tightened both in Spain and at Ukrainian embassies around the world.
Two men are arrested on probable cause for rape and rape of children in Falkenberg, write Halland’s News.
The men were arrested during the morning and have been questioned.
Prosecutor Olof Åberg does not want to comment on anything such as the age of either the men or the plaintiffs, according to the newspaper.
Asylum seekers will no longer be housed at Bibby Stockholm, reports Sky News.

A pungent, diffuse smell of vinegar spreads over Gothenburg, according to Gothenburg Post.

At least five Palestinians have been killed and several injured in an Israeli raid in the town of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
The attack, which took place at dawn, used both ground troops and airstrikes. According to the Israeli military, the IDF, two military leaders were killed, one for Hamas’s armed branch in Tulkarem, the other for Fatah’s military militia.
Tulkarem is known as a hub of Palestinian militant activity and is frequently stormed by Israeli troops.
Violence in the West Bank has increased since Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, which led to Israel declaring war on the extremist organization.
A man has fallen from a great height in Nacka.
The injured person is taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
– He was awake and able to speak when he left the scene, but I don’t know anything about the extent of the damage, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson at the police.
The rescue service and the police are also on site.
According to the police, it is a workplace accident.
– I don’t know what kind of workplace it applies to.
The police draw up a report labeled work environment violation by causing bodily harm.
Two cars have collided on the E22 in Västervik.
One of the cars has ended up in the ditch and the police have rushed to the scene.
The road is temporarily closed during the work, the police write on their website.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is “extremely concerned” about a possible outbreak of polio after high concentrations of the highly contagious virus were found in the sewage system in Gaza. WHO warns that infectious diseases can cause more deaths than injuries.
The number of people in Gaza needing to be evacuated for medical care may have risen to over 14,000, according to Ayadil Saparbekov, the WHO’s director of health crises in the Palestinian territories.
A Gothia Cup player suspected of raping another player in a hotel room in Gothenburg has left the country, writes GP.
The suspect must be 16 years old and must belong to an American team.
– There is a suspect but he has not been fully identified yet. We know which team he plays in, but he is not fully identified and that is probably because he simply left the country, says prosecutor Mikael Sjöholm to the newspaper.
