Arthur Bauchet, great hope of French Paralympic alpine skiing, won his second gold medal at the Beijing Games on Monday March 7 with the super combined title (standing category). The 21-year-old sportsman, from the Var and licensed at the Briançon ski club, beat the Finn Santeri Kiiveri and the New Zealander Adam Hall. The super combined combines a speed test (Super-G) with a technical test (slalom) and therefore rewards the most versatile athletes. On the sunny slopes of the national alpine ski center of Yanqing, in the suburbs of Beijing, Arthur Bauchet had already won the Paralympic title on Saturday in the queen event of the downhill.
